Homeless Shelter Assistance

There are teams of parishioners who prepare and serve meals once a month. The shelter most of the groups serve is Freedom House Hull Street Shelter, which is in the process of shutting down.  Another team goes to the emergency men’s shelter on Grace Street in downtown Richmond.

Hull Street Shelter: Volunteers prepare, deliver, and serve the five evening meals each month.

Salvation Army: Volunteers bake meatloaves and brownies and bring them double wrapped and frozen to the church freezer.  The meal is delivered on the morning of the first Wednesday of each month. Please see Meatloaves & Brownies for more information.

Men's Emergency Shelter: Volunteers prepare, deliver, and serve  two evening meals each month.

Future needs will be posted in the bulletin and on this website.
